I am Laurent Thiebault, married, and a proud father of 2 children. Passionate about the web and technology in general!
With over a decade of experience in the software engineering landscape, my journey has been driven by a constant evolution: from crafting pixel-perfect interfaces to scaling engineering teams and pioneering the future of development.
Throughout my career, I have worn several key hats:
- The craftsman: Building strong technical foundations & products focused on user experience, performance, and clean architecture.
- The leader: Leading high-performing engineering teams, aligning technical excellence with strategic business goals, and mentoring talent.
- The enabler: Scaling development efficiency with qualitative & performant solutions, ensuring UX/UI consistency, technical compliance and bridging the gap between product, design and engineering at scale.
Today, as a direct report to the CTO, I am pioneering AI-Augmented Development & Agentic SDLC at Decathlon. I work in a team where our mission is to redefine how we build software by integrating AI and autonomous agents into the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
I also work part-time as a freelancer to assist companies with topics related to AI-Augmented Development & Agentic SDLC. In parallel, I provide content related to these subjects on my website.
