Hi, I'm Chris 👋

Founder of belian.earth — independent, scalable baselines for nature-based carbon projects.

We answer one question independently, that other organisations do internally: what would have happened to this forest if nothing had changed? We do it with geospatial foundation models and counterfactual analysis, so the baseline holds up to a buyer, an auditor, or a ratings agency.

I have a background in forest ecology. I work at the messy edge where earth observation, statistics, and carbon market integrity meet.
